Fish Houses
A Quality fish house starts with the frame that it is built on. An Ahoy! fish house is built with a very sturdy frame. The frame is built with 2x3" boxed steel, except the tongue is made with a 2.5x3.5" piece of box steel. Once the frame of the fish house is complete it is primed and painted with DuPont Auto Paint and Primer. Ahoy!'s suspensions are unbeatable. The quality of the suspension is like no other. The suspension is built so that the leaf-spring acts as it is supposed to. The spring only works up and down. The arm that the wheel is attached to is not the leaf-spring. The spring is an actual part of the frame with a cradle attached to allow the weight of the wheel and house bear on it. The trailer also has bolts welded to the top of the frame. These bolts are for the walls to slip over, making the wall a permanent part of the trailer.
Once the trailer frame is complete the fish house really comes together. The wall is bolted to the frame making it a permanent part of the structure. The walls are made with 1 3/4" studs, a 1/4" plywood, and the one piece fiberglass is placed on the exterior plywood. After the walls are put on, roof rafters are put in place. Plywood is then placed for the roof of the fish house. To top the roof off, seamless rubber roofing is glued to the plywood. The rubber roofing that we use is also used by many major RV manufactures as well!
The appearance of the interior of the fish houses is up to the individual customer. Ahoy! has several different carpet colors, panelings, and many options for personalizing your fish house. Some of the many options that we have are bunk beds, dinette, hand crafted tables, ovens, 2 burner stoves, double doors, double ramp door, cabinets, thermo windows, clearance lights, and many more! Ahoy! makes CUSTOM fish houses so that the fish house is completed the way the customer wishes. If there is something that is wanted that Ahoy! does not have we can work with the customer to get what is wanted. This would apply to just about everything including; carpet, "Tuff" flooring, paneling, windows, doors, electronics, exterior decals and more!
Ahoy! wants you to feel safe and comfortable in your fish house at all times. Ahoy! takes care of several of your worries like being in the dark, carbon monoxide, poisoning,and propane leaks. Carbon Monoxide Detectors and LP Gas Detectors are put in all "Standard" fish houses. Ahoy! will also put 12 Volt lighting and a ventless heater in every "Standard" house.
